Spring Rosebud Wreath

WreathHeader

Hello everyone! Since spring is now here, I wanted to update the wreath on my front door to something more seasonally appropriate. I had a ton of leftover fake flowers from my wedding, so I decided to make use of those. I ordered a lot of fake flowers directly from a company in China because I was hoping to make some flower arrangements for my wedding. In the end, I only made an arch and did not use the flowers. I ended up making some arrangements for my sisters’ homes and my own, but had these flowers leftover and unused.

WreathStep1

I purchased this twig wreath form from Michaels for under $10.

WreathStep2

These are the fake flowers I used. They aren’t silk flowers, but they are “real touch” fake ones. “Real touch” fake flowers are supposed to be really realistic and have a slightly rubbery feel when you touch them. I had leftover pink rosebuds, tulips, and calla lilies.

WreathStep3

I didn’t want to cut the the stems off completely, so I trimmed the stems so they were about 6″. I intertwined the wired stem with the twigs of the wreath, so it did not require any kind of glue to hold into place.

WreathStep4

I filled the wreath with all the rosebuds first.

WreathStep5

WreathStep6

Then I added in the tulips and calla lilies to fill in the spaces and to add some variety.

WreathStep8

Because I kept some of the stem on the flower, I will be able to use it for some short arrangements if I don’t want to use this wreath anymore. Since it isn’t glued on, I can also use the wreath form again! I hope you enjoyed this post!

Your rose wreath has turned out beautiful. I like not cutting the stems to short so they can be used in other arrangements.
